Long Beach! March 25, 2011

I went to Long Beach this Sunday, it was simply gorgeous. I used my new bike to go out there with a friend. The path was a little more treacherous than anticipated- which basically means that I went for sea level to 1000 feet of elevation- which is not fun on a bike- in face I mostly pushed the bike up the hill, but the views from up there were great, I could see the harbor and beyond, (see below). But after all that topography- and a lot of braking- I have never so feared for my life- we arrived at long beach: TOTALLY WORTH IT!
It was a Sunday and there were only 3-4 other people on this gorgeous beach, I definitely chose the right country.
We couldn't stay long, had to be back John could make it to the Circus. But during out time we checked out some caves, climbed a little cliff- only 10 feet up, mom- and collected some awesome shells, and rocks.
And then began the wonderful=painful bike ride back to Dunedin, it was pretty fun, aside from the painful bit, and the bit where it started.

I hope you enjoy the pictures, I hope to go out to Sand-fly Bay on the Peninsula soon- those pictures should be amazing.

There are caves- apparently they continue in quite a bit too, can't wait to check them out
