In which I get oriented to Dunedin

Tuesday was a busy day for me. I went with Leila on a "cruise" to through the Otago Harbor to the Albatross colony, we then drove back along the peninsula. In the afternoon we went on a double-decker bus tour of Dunedin.

A few pictures from this day.

Me at the Harbor!

Seals

Birds, they leave in those little round pot-shaped nests and switch every year back and forth to keep parasites low.

As a geology student, all I have to say is rocks, and look as the bedding, so pretty.

Albatross colony here, only mainland one in the world, Sadly I didn't see that many.

A little bit of a view of the city

Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world, 35% incline at the steepest point.

We have a Cadbury Chocolate Factory in Town! I can't wait to go on a tour and get samples!

After all of that I went around and got to know town, things are so pricey here! So I economized and purchased ONE LITER of sunscreen, with no ozone it was the logical thing to do.

I also got to know my flat-mate Jane, who I have to admit is pretty amazing, I the time before I left for field camp a third flatmate showed up, Isben form Norway, also pretty cool.

The next day (wednesday), I mainly figured out logistics with my camp and worked on a report for the field class I took over break in Las Vegas, (procrastination will be the end of me).

Oh, I also went to the grocery store, where they played MIKA! Which I think is awesome! (sorry, a little random, but you know me.)

Next post will be about field class, which has some amazing pictures, just so ya know.
