Milford Sound

After finishing the Kepler Track we got pies in Te Anau, and then, because we had time and were only 120 km from it we decided to head that way- it rained as we headed out, so the mountains were clothed in mist and the waterfalls were amazing, it was a beautiful winding road into the mountains, we went through a 1km tunnel through the mountains to reach the sound, which was also bathed in mist. However, it did lighten up, the mist cleared and we began to see even a little bit of sky- it was a simply gorgeous sight- I very much enjoyed it. We stayed for an hour or two and then headed back- all the time praying that we would have enough petrol to return to Te Anau and fill up, all in all it was a great ending  to the trip.
