This weekend we wend out to see Fox and Franz Josef Glacier. We first went to fox glacier. The glacier extended out to the rain forest. Since 1750 it has shrunk by something like 2 miles longer. Now it advances something like one meter a day. We were able to get within 200 meters of it. I wish it were closer but we were limited by safety concerns.
