We got up early to watch the sun rise at Te Anau, unfortunately we were were facing west, which kind of ruined the effect, but it was nice to make breakfast out there. A little cold though, until the sun rose that is. We soon got packed up though and headed out to town to get meat pies. It was my first NZ pie and let me just say- it was delicious- steak and cheese!
Soon we were on our way to Queenstown the adventure capital of the world and the Tourist center of the south island- seriously there are more foreigners than Kiwi's. This town has it all, it also will suck your money like a vacuum cleaners so care must be taken when visiting. We checked into out hostel- yay! I can finally say that I stayed at a hostel! And then we went on a walk up the mountain to get a view of the valley. It was a pretty amazing, we found a lot of cool things on the way up too. like a cairn forest, there was also a metal nest that was fun to take pictures in.

After the long hike we went to Ferburger- the famous burger place in queenstown- it was amazing- I had a
big al- which is basically two patties totally half a pound, gigantic buns, cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, bacon, aioli, and three fried eggs, as well as some beets, it was filling to say the least.
That night we visited the Ice-Bar- it is pretty cool- the walls are made of ice, as well as the cups, the furniture, the bar and even the chandelier. Although it is a bit cold, I did enjoy the fireplace though, I don't think any heat got out towards us, but I did enjoy it. The glasses were made out of ice, I ate most of mine before I was done. It was pretty good.
